About Us

CanberraPlease note: our business officially closed on 30 June of this year (2018).

The ACT Wine Industry Network is now an interest group only for the purposes of conducting Wine and Food Matching Dinners and special interest occasions.

We are a small Canberra based family company established in 1998 promoting local and regional wine, beer, cider and food.

As agents we distribute for a number of wineries and also conduct regular wine tastings.

For specific details on the services we provide please refer to the section OUR SERVICES on this website. For matters pertaining to products we distribute, please refer to the section OUR PRODUCTS on this website.

In past years we have been commissioned to undertake tastings for  Bunnamagoo Estate Wines, Westend Estate, Windowrie Estate, McWilliams Wines, Grant Burge, Premium Beverages (ie Coopers Beer, Mythos, Sapporo and Carlsberg), Cooks Lot, Landhaus, Optimiste, Samuel Smith & Son and Winburndale.

We have regularly conducted tastings and training sessions for Treasury Wine Estates.

In addition, our own three labels, ACTWIN, Tabart Heritage Wines and Kruger Reserve Selection Wines, have been a big part of our portfolio.

In 2012 we added to the tasting list: Whispering Sisters, Dionysus Wines, Rogue Wines, Wild Fox Organic Wines, Sheer Drop Wines, Tyrrell’s Wines, Watershed Wines, Five Star Wines (with 30 wineries in this portfolio alone!), Wyebrook Estate Wines, Murray’s Brewery, Meredith Dairy Goat Cheeses and the non-alcoholic Rochester Ginger.

In 2013 we added Two Birds Brewing and Appleman Cider to the list.

In 2016 we included Angove Wines and in July that same year we were asked by Lion Nathan to undertake their tastings.

We frequently exhibit and conduct tastings of various products at a number of Trade Shows, the Royal Canberra Show and the Home and Leisure Show, just to name a few.

We work very closely with a number of Canberra restaurants including Trev’s@Dickson and The Palette Cafe at Deakin; a number of food outlets to bring you quality produce  such as Butcher Boy at Lanyon, Cafe 21 & Grocery at Acton, Choku Bai Jo at Curtin and North Lyneham ; and place many of our products in Gordon IGA, Urban Cellars Curtin, Prohibition at Kingston and Cook Friendly Grocer

As of August 17, 2016 Dee Vine Estate in Griffith came on board with us to do their tastings. They recently purchased the old Rossetto Winery with whom we first worked in the late 1990’s and again in the 2000’s when it was Beelgara Estate with the Toohey family.

Stop Press: as of August 19, 2016 we have Pernod Ricard Australia using us for their tastings!

As of July 20, 2017 we have pleasure in announcing that Brygon Reserve Wines in the Margaret River, Western Australia, has appointed us as their tasting personnel in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region (see below up-date).

Note: as of February 2018 our company is still waiting for payment from Brygon Reserve Wines for the tastings conducted back in August 2017 as authorised by them. We instigated action through a debt collection agency in November but to date are not having much luck in obtaining monies owing. As a small business being held out to 6 months with payment is a major concern.

Further to the above: as a result of social media we have had resolution in the above matter (March 2018).

Note: Fresh Supply Solutions P/L trading as the ACT Wine Industry Network incorporating Brindabella Wine Tours, officially closed for business on June 30, 2018. The ACT Wine Industry Network name continues purely as an interest group.

The business was voluntarily closed as the principal is spending more time with community services work.

All Wine Appreciation Courses etc will now be conducted by HRD (Australia) under the same principal, Michael Tabart.

HRD (Australia) is a sole operator (est. 1995) and conducts Business Management and Training. It is part of The Learning Centre (est. 1984) which specialises in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy. A new website, www.hrdaustralia.com.au will soon be up and running.
